The most harrowing stories are hidden beneath the glamor of a career. Lolo Jones, who took home the USA and the World championships in hurdle events in 2013, has only been able to achieve this level by putting in a lot of hard work and a lot of patience. Jones experienced a tough childhood due to her being born to a single mother with a large family. Her mother had been constantly moving and she even spent some time living within the basement. Jones was forced to move to another school every during her high school years because of this nomadic existence. Jones needed to be separated from mother in Theodore Roosevelt School to pursue her love of track. Jones stayed in four houses during her highschool time to pursue her education in a single location. Jones received an award called the Gatorade track and field Athlete of the Year award while at high school. As a young cellist, Jones was also part of her school's school orchestra. Jones at the time she was going to college, was recognized as one of the top hurdlers. She was the champion of the 100-meter hurdles during the NCAA Track & Field Championship. Also, she participated on the runner up team for 100-meters relay. Jones was the NCAA Champion in indoor hurdles both in 2013 and 2003. Jones was a professional athlete with the year 2005, after she finished her education. She started training for a successful track career. In 2005, she was first in Torino Memorial race. Torino Memorial race, in 2006 she was the Heusden and Ostrava racers.

The family was raised and born from Cape Town South Africa Brandt immigrated with her family to Auckland New Zealand in her in her late teens. Brandt was discovered in Auckland by casting directors, and was offered the lead role as Naevia as a character in the Starz smash Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. The performance was well-loved with audiences and producer Steven S. D Knight, Sam Raimi and Sam Raimi. Mazikeen was a well-loved comic character in Vertigo/DC and she played her on the Netflix hit series Lucifer for 6 seasons. Lucifer was a smash hit and broke binge records and was named as the best shows that were binge watched in 2021 by Forbes. Brandt will next be seen in a 6-episode Walking Dead limited spin-off starring Andrew Lincoln and Danai Giurira that will premiere in 2024. She also stars alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan Chris Meloni and Chris Meloni as Captain Fall in a mature animated feature to be released by Netflix on July 20, 2023. Lesley Ann Brandt was born 2nd December in Cape Town, South African. She is a New Zealand actress with a impressive potential. Lesley Brandt moved with her entire family of New Zealand to Auckland in 1999. She began her career in Auckland as a retailer before being made an IT management consultant. After a few modelling projects, Lesley appeared in many commercials. In 2008 she completed her acting major and continued her training in Meisner techniques of learning. The first big acting role for Lesley was with New Zealand's TV drama Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt is a supporting guest on New Zealand television drama Shortland Street. In a later sci-fi arrangement This Is Not My Life she played the town of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt starred in the television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia, a hostage who then appeared in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
